About Quinn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as athletic and quick. My athleticism helps me with my vertical for hitting and blocking, and my quickness is helpful on defense in getting to the ball. I play with energy and focus and try to execute the game plan.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is that I want to learn, grow and perfect my skills. I consistently seek feedback to improve my game. I have high expectations of myself that drive me to want to play better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am very active in my church and youth group. I often serve as a leader or camp counselor for my church at various camps. I also participate in church mission trips. In addition, I am on the honor roll for my grades.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership qualities through sport and also outside of volleyball. In school, I am often a group leader for group projects. In my church I often am selected to be a camp counselor or leader for my ability to make good decisions, communicate and relate well with others. In volleyball, I tend to lead by example by working hard in practice and encouraging my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biggest challenge has been that I had never played until I was 13. The school I attended through 8th grade had no sports, so my 13's club season was my first time playing. My freshman year in high school was my first time playing school ball. It's driven me to push myself and put in extra work to improve and get better. Because of this, I feel like I have a lot more room for growth.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for great people and a great culture. In addition, I want to make sure the academic side aligns with my career goals.
