How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a player I am very physically aggressive with my approach towards the game. Mentally I am constantly using my head to identify aspects of the game that will help our team win. These two skills I have learned from amazing coaches and teammates help me be a confident player on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Being able to laugh and enjoy the moment while playing high level volleyball is something very important to me. I am typically one of the main energy sources on my team so being able to be a leader while doing this is something is strive for daily.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Currently I am involved in an out of school beach cleanup organization. I also partake in the Best Buddies Club at my school which I am currently in the running for Historian of.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the past years of playing volleyball I have grown in so many ways. As a captain of my team I have learnt how to stay strong not only for myself but my teammates and coaches. The person I have become because of volleyball has given me numerous life skills. Understanding how other people work is a crucial part of leadership that I have experienced through being on the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Almost halfway through my current season, I went through an injury on my right ankle that caused me to perform at a lower level then normal. Mentally I was disappointed with myself and I did not give myself the grace of recovery. Having to overcome an injury and play at a high personal standard pushed me to become mentally and physically stronger.

What type of college are you looking for?

The college I envision myself in is a place that will push me to do great things academically and athletically. Personally, I love competing with myself when reaching a goal and the environment I do that in is important. On the court I hope the teammates I play with in the future are people I will bond with like a second family.
