Yockey has good court sense and awareness as a middle that helps her make an equal impact on both sides of the ball. She is a quick twitch type of athlete in her ability to get up fast and over the net when defending. Offensively, she can be a high efficiency attacker as she develops good space to be able to swing with pace while moving the ball around towards space and edges of the block.

Yockey can be a big threat in the middle with a quick arm. She moves well around her setter in all aspects of her middle offense and as she can develop good space this allows her to use her high elbow action and control to swing into space with good speed. She has good quickness defensively as well to get up and over the net fast.
