About Regan
Expert Analysis
Theresa Hickman | Prep Dig Scout
Regan Oaks brought a competitive edge to Day 1 that translated on both sides of the ball. She played with urgency in transition, consistently getting off the net and re-establishing as an attacking option. Her approach mechanics were efficient, allowing her to generate quality swings even when the set wasn’t perfect. Oaks showed the ability to adjust mid-air, keeping her shoulders open and finding ways to score through pressure.
What elevated her performance was her motor. She stayed engaged every rally—covering, transitioning, and competing for points that others might concede. Regan’s presence didn’t fade as matches wore on, and that sustained intensity made her a player coaches continued to evaluate deeper as the day unfolded. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

Oaks (*pictured) has been proving her value with more notice since early on in this club season helping lead a good NKYVC 16 Tsunami team with her offense. She can bring some big heat which starts with her footwork and a deliberate step-close move to the ball that helps her drive up with a big double-arm lift and into torque action. Not only does her power potential increase but she adds range with the control to swing through space or to effectively challenge the edges of the block. Oaks has also shown good tools to play as a primary passer-to-hitter as well.

Oaks has been a consistent offensive threat for Harrison over her first two varsity seasons as she has earned 518 total kills on a 3.3 k/s average through near mirror seasons to complete the first half of her high school career. In 2025, she improved her defensive output to a career best 10.1 d/m. A 5’11 pin, Oaks can bring big heat as she is aggressive in her approach to get herself balanced in the air to swing with big purpose. Taking her game to Kentucky, as part of NKYVC 16-1 Tsunami, she helps create very talented pin balance to support their high-contact middles, all of which forms a big offensive presence for this team through each rotation.
