Bassett actually played a good bit of libero for her club team this season. She makes a lot of simple passes to jumpstart the offensive rhythm and dives when needed to keep plays alive. Bassett showed she can handle sinking line drive hits. She uses a good platform to make sound two to three-point passes then quickly moves forward to provide good net protection. Bassett is also sound in serve reception. Bassett reacts quickly to balls hit over her. She’ll be an asset for Murray with her improved passing this fall.

Bassett brings a lot of versatility to the Tigers. She can step into the libero role and make crisp passes. She can then make a big switch to offense and take solid rips. Bassett adds in a tough serve.

Bassett is trying to turn into a sound all-around player for the Tigers. She hustles hard after balls consistently making sound passes. Bassett transitions from offense to defense quickly and takes sound hits. Bassett also has a tough serve. Bassett had 155 kills, 167 digs and 65 aces this past fall, helping Murray go 18-12 and advance to the 1st Region semifinals.
