About Remmington

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with intent and purpose on every contact. I stay locked in every time I step on the court and focus on doing my job at a high level while lifting up my teammates. I’m a consistent player who can read the other side of the court and find ways to score. Playing sand has also helped develop my ball control, court awareness, and ability to put the ball away in different situations.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a team-first player who loves lifting up the people around me. I stay calm under pressure and don’t let mistakes affect the next play. I play for an audience of one, God, and that keeps me grounded, confident, and focused.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve consistently been recognized for my character and academics, earning Student of the Month each year since kindergarten in categories like STCU Student of the Month, honesty, courage, and responsibility. I’ve also maintained a 4.0 GPA and received honor awards for academics. I have been involved in school clubs like, Math is Cool. I also have received a sponsorship from Undrdog Athletix!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by communicating, encouraging teammates, and helping bring positive energy to my team. I also value serving others, volunteering by cooking meals for families through Ronald McDonald House Charities, helping at church kids camps, and working with youth volleyball programs. These experiences have built my responsibility, empathy, and leadership.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the hardest challenges I’ve faced is dealing with alopecia areata (ophiasis). I’m still learning how to navigate it, but during flare-ups I can lose a lot, or even all, of my hair. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s made me stronger both mentally and emotionally. Everyone goes through challenges in life, and this is one of mine. I trust in God to guide me through it and help me keep pushing.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a good blend of academic, athletic and a social environment!
