This success was aided by the 16 Red lineup, which won its division at the Nebraska Showdown and reached the final 16 American Blue bracket at Show Me. River City Jrs squads find success through quality first contacts, and that’s where Sanchez stepped up for 16 Red. Her willingness to patrol the middle-back area and ease passing burdens for her teammates put 16 Red over the top in high-pressure situations. Sanchez’s emergence on the watch list was overdue, and this isn’t the last we’ll see from 16 Red’s stars.
