Rose brings energy, range and an aggressive defensive mentality to the floor. She showed that in the Sweet 16, where her pursuit and digging helped set the tone early for Mount Paran. She reads hard-driven attacks well and plays with the type of effort that keeps balls alive outside the normal defensive window.

For a sophomore, her willingness to take responsibility defensively is encouraging. Marty stays active between contacts and doesn’t appear content to defend only the balls hit directly into her space. That pursuit mentality, combined with continued refinement in platform control and serve receive, gives her good developmental upside as a back-row player. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga
