How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a focused Middle Hitter / Right Side who consistently has a high kill percentage. I don't commit a lot of errors. I am athletic, am able to get high above the net, and I have a good sense for where the opposing players are. I am working on strengthening the velocity and power of my swing.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Since I don't create drama, I am encouraging, I have a good sense of humor, I don't get down on myself or others, I get along with pretty much everyone, I am very coachable, and I have a lot of energy, I have been told I am an excellent teammate, a "glue" player. I love it when I have a great hit or block, and I love it when one of my teammates makes a great play. I'm always improving.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Not currently. In ninth grade, I was part of a leadership group that planned and set up for school-wide events.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I'm a natural, but not a forceful, leader.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Right at the end of my sophomore year, I broke my leg scrimmaging against another school's team. A girl from the other team came under the net, I landed on her foot, and I broke my tibia. I had a bunch of camps and training lined up for that summer, but I had to cancel them, which set me back a lot. I have fought my way back, though.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to become a veterinarian, so I'm looking for a school where I can really contribute on the court and also take the courses, get the academic support, and get the degree (biology or chemistry) I need to get into vet school.
