Ryann sets for the Central Virginia Home School. They also earned an all tournament team selection but I did not get the name of that player. The team did have a number of stand out players including left side Eleanor Jastrzemski Eleanor Jastrzemski 6'1" | OH Central Virginia Home School | 2029 State VA and her older sister middle Nadia Jastrzemski Nadia Jastrzemski 6'2" | MB Central Virginia Home School | 2027 State VA . Lefty swinging Autumn Schwartz Autumn Schwartz 5'11" | RS/S Central Virginia Home School | 2028 State VA hits left side, but that allows her to play six rotations to hit back row when the team runs a 6/2.

Ryann sets for Richmond Volleyball Club 16, which was named as one of the top five club teams in the 16U age group. At 5’11” she brings good height for a setter. While she tends to stay in the front row to hit for Central Virginia Home School she is normally rotated out when playing for Richmond Volleyball Club. It would not surprise me that she could set a 5/1 if given an opportunity.

Ryann has committed to Liberty.

Ryann did not appear in our rankings until May of this year. With Alexis VerMeer Alexis VerMeer 6'1" | OH/RS Lancaster | 2028 State VA on my radar Ryann also impressed me with her ability as a setter using all areas of the net to run her offense. At 5’10” she brings the height to play front row however in the games I watched she set a 6/2 and rotated out once in the front row.

While she appeared in our rankings at number 83 it was the highest debut ranking for the class of 2028. She was a fun setter to watch use her craft setting “2”s in the middle when setting the outsides and pushing slides out to the middles.

Ryann committed to Liberty. Interesting to note that no Virginia players will compete for Liberty this year. Last year Amelia Tomlinson played for Liberty as the Libero. She went to Western Albermarle high school. She finished at #25 in our class of 2024 rankings. This year Ameila transferred to North Alabama to play beach. Nice that Liberty went local to sign a player.

Ryann sets for the Richmond Volleyball Club 16, which carries some impressive offensive weapons on the outside. At 5’10” she has good size with good hands to spread her sets along different areas of the net. She also is not afraid of setting the slide for her middles or having her pins sneak into the middle for a “2” set. It is fun to watch how a talented setter makes use of her offensive weapons.

Ryann sets for Central Virginia Home School. They have some talented players as well, finishing with a 36-4 record. She finished the high school season leading the team in aces with 101 and assists with 550.

Ryann made the highest debut of all the new players ranked in the class of 2028.
