About Rylie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to bring energy to the court. I use my skills from indoor and beach to place the balls where they score whether by swinging hard or placing it just behind the block.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I come to every game ready to play. I’m eager for those sets and use my vision of the court to get points for my team. I love getting big blocks. I also love celebrating my teammates success. I make a celebration for each teammate to use when they score.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

My freshman year my team went 25-9 only losing to 5 of the top 10 teams (a few of them we lost to twice). I received the jaguar of the year award. My junior high team went undefeated both years and won the city championship. I received Offensive Player of the Year both years. My club team got a bid at Lonestar in 2025 in the USA division.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m a natural leader on the team. My whole life people have looked to me for guidance, ideas, and leadership. I’m very vocal on the court whether calling for the ball, identifying and calling out the other team’s defense, or cheering for my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Playing up on older teams is always a challenge. I’ve played up in sports my whole life. Earning the time on the court or field is a challenge for everyone, but even more so playing with older athletes.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking to play at a D1 college where I can make a significant difference on and off the court.

Blockers were constantly chasing Rylie along the net this weekend. In the middle, Rylie continually communicates with her setter as she adjusts her approach to different passes. Rylie’s movement prevents the blockers from finding a rhythm, and not only makes her more successful in the middle, but also gives the pin-hitters a weaker block to power through.
