About Sabina

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I think its important to make sure your having fun, but also trying to showcase your skills the best you can. I think the thing that really sets apart a player is their attitude and how they act with their team. I might not be on the court the whole time, but I'm always cheering on for my team and making sure we are playing out hardest.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe my mentality is very resilient and motivated. I don't really let any of my mistakes get to me because nobody's perfect and I'm always learning how to be better. My personality can be described as humble, joyful, and overall a person who enjoys anything I do. I'm always pushing myself to improve and trying to make sure our team chemistry is the best it can be.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I played for Sparks and Dig This in their academy program. I have gotten invited to some practices for Dig This and Street teams as well. I played for Kiakahi 16's this past season and will be playing for Shakaz 2026-2027 season.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have kind of learned and developed my personality especially when coaching smaller age groups. I helped coach my middle school and definitely learned how to give accurate feedback depending on how each athlete likes to be coached. I think coaching is definitely what can shape a player.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

This last year, I had some challenges with my club coach and her coaching style. However, as a player who had to be flexible and wanted to play volleyball consistently. I learned how to maneuver the new coaching style and try to enjoy the sport with my team despite these challenges. I remembered why I first started playing and used that to help me finish out the season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am planning to stay in state, so either UNLV or UNR.
