Helping lead the Desert Hills Thunder to a 4A state victory was the vocal and scrappy libero Samantha Spencer Samantha Spencer 5'5" | DS/L Desert Hills | 2027 State UT . On the season, she totaled 402 digs and ranked #21 in the state of Utah for total digs. A couple of things that stood out to me is her ability to touch a lot of balls that come her way. She has good balance and control to keep hard driven balls in system and make some crazy dives to keep a ball up. Samantha communicates effectively in serve receive and forms good angles early.
