Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a competitive and focused player! I’m aggressive at the net and always aim to read the game early. I bring strong communication and energy to every game I play!
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I view playing volleyball as a privilege and I think that translates to the way I present myself on the court. I stay humble, focused, and grateful, always striving to better myself and my team.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’m involved in a research group through UCSF that focuses on the reproductive rights of women of color and improving the health and well-being of Black adolescent girls. It’s a meaningful opportunity for me to contribute to health equity and advocate for underrepresented communities.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As an assistant coach for 12-year-old girls, I’ve come to understand the importance of mentorship. I love being able to guide and support young athletes, not just in skill development but in building their confidence. Empowering young women to believe in themselves and their abilities is something I’m really passionate about. I’m grateful to be a part of their growth both on and off the court.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Through my work in my community and with UCSF, I’ve seen people face incredibly difficult circumstances. These experiences have given me a deeper sense of gratitude for my own life and has made me more grateful for the stability and opportunities I’ve had.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that supports both my academic goals and my passion for athletics. It’s important to me to be part of a competitive and dedicated sports program where I can continue to develop my skills and contribute to the team!
