Hughes is diligent as an off-blocker defender. Roll? Tip? Nope, not in Hughes’ house. She also brings the heat from the service line which really is the 1st line of defense. Hughes does a nice job of defending the split in the block and keeps her team in the rally.

Samya was nothing but impressive the entire weekend. She is a high-flying pin who is a go-to hitter on her team. Samya makes consistent contact and is very fast in transition. Her ability to earn points out of system caught my eye. Samya is also a strong passer and regularly contributes in a big way on defense and serve receive.
