About Senah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Since I started playing volleyball in 8th grade, my coaches have used me as a starting utility player. This has given me experience playing every position except libero (and if my coach needs me to play libero, I will learn to play libero...but I hope it never comes to that). I am competitive and aggressive but focus on being calm and steady when I play to look for opportunities to score points.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality and personality has been described as "even-keeled." When I am on the court, I focus on the point being played and I don't get rattled. I am an extrovert by nature, so I do my best to be a good teammate and the kind of player a coach can depend on to make the plays.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am very active in my school and community. Outside of school, I volunteer as an English tutor to a Ukrainian student through the ENGin program and complete service projects through the Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads. In school, I am a student counsel representative, Social Media Chair of Choir Club, and a member of Key Club. I am also in my 9th year of auditions for National Piano Guild.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I try to lead by example. To me, this means working hard and giving extra effort, even in little ways. I get to practice early and stay late to get the court ready. When we are practicing, I give drills 100% effort and take the workouts seriously.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to find a college with a challenging curriculum and additional opportunities that will help me develop into a successful adult by the time I graduate. Hopefully, that same college also has a volleyball team with a great culture and thinks I would be a perfect addition to the team.
