About Senah
Expert Analysis
Bob Abels | Prep Dig Scout
Senah appears to be a player who can compete at multiple positions. She stands out as the third player named as a top performer who also moved up in the updated rankings. For Jamestown she did it all with blocking, setting and hitting. She told me that she also finds herself in the back row to play defense. When looking at her stats for Jamestown she ranked fourth on her team in digs.
Senah will play for Virginia Wave this year. Because the team already carries two setters she may not set as often this club season. On the roster she lists as RS/S. Her versatility at multiple positions can only enhance her value.

110 – 91. There is still a lot she can do to enhance her game. At 6’1″ she could be a more impactful hitter. Her swing has improved from last year adding some velocity to her hits, but it can get better.
For a tall girl her hands are soft. The consistency in location needs to improve but the touch is there. With more repetitions that consistency will improve. She reaches 9’8″ on her approach jump so she puts up a strong block when in the front row.
Looking forward to seeing her at the exposure tour in Richmond to see how she has progressed.

At 6’0″ Senah brings good height to the setting position. If not setting a 5/1 she can stay in the front row and hit right side. Her approach jump reaches 9’6″.
From a technical standpoint her setting could still use some work to improve her consistency in location. From a practical standpoint she brings the soft hands required to develop as a setter.
She spun together over 200 assists for Jamestown last year. Unfortunately, from a hitting aspect she created more errors than kills. After a year playing for Virginia Wave she has improved significantly. This coming season Senah should make more of an impact for Jamestown.

I thought Virginia Wave was playing in the Best of the East, but they are actually playing in the Select Division. While they are playing in a second division Senah is a player worth a look. She stands 6’0″ with a 9’6″ approach jump. The Wave have used her to set and leave her to play right side to hit. Her righthanded swing would also fit on the left side.
Last year for Jamestown she was used as a second setter. Her hitting was very inconsistent with more errors than kills. At the club level it appears she has improved her swing path for hitting, becoming more of an offensive threat. A player with her growing skills is always worth a look.

At 6’0″ she has been used at almost every position but libero. At MAPL she set and played outside for Virginia Wave . She showed a good serve with strong downward trajectory when it flew across the net. This accumulated a number of aces. Her setting location could use more consistency and her arm swing could show a quicker follow through to put more velocity on the ball.
For Jamestown she finished second in assists. She was not given a lot of opportunity to play front row. That should change next year as her arm swing to the ball improves. Her 9’6″ approach jump could use some enhancement to improve her blocking on the right side.

Don’t know too much about Senah. At 6’0″ she brings good height to the setter position. Playing for Jamestown she finished second in assists. Despite her height she did not get a lot of front row time with only 10 kills and 12 errors in the 61 sets she played. Improving that front row play would certainly enhance her status.
For club Senah will play for Virginia Wave Elite. They list her as a middle/right side. Senah brings a block touch at 9’1″ with an approach jump at 9’6″.
Virginia Wave will next play in the Mid Atlantic Power League (MAPL) in Hampton and after that the Charm City Challenge in Baltimore. Lots of potential in her game.
