About Skylar

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is scrappy. When I'm on the court the goal is keep the ball up, keep it high enough for my teammate to make a play, and to keep the energy going!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is always open. I am open to constructive criticism, new techniques and new friends on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have not been involved in anything recently but I seem to always get awards for my outgoing personality. I can make friends anywhere my mom says.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have taken my experience from club to help lead my school team with another friend that plays club VB. Helping my school friends learn and enjoy VB like we do makes our wins feel amazing.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Challenges I faced over last season was coming onto my club team as a last minute add. I had to work hard to prove to myself and my teammates that I belonged. By the end of season I had improved my vertical so much that I was the our starting RS. I was third in blocks behind our middles and was second in kills for the season. My team came together to take the 13U Liberty National Championship!

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will allow me to pursue Criminology and Forsenic Science, while also playing volleyball.
