Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style is defined by agility, anticipation, and precision. I excel in positioning myself as perfectly as I can to intercept attacks with quick reflexes and clean digs. I have consistency in serve-receive and the ability to direct passes. My communication is calm yet a dynamic presence that anchors the defense and inspires confidence in the team. I always look for ways to get better.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
One way to describe my mentality or personality is very competitive. No matter what team I face, I am always wanting to win. I want to get as many digs, aces, passes, and points as I can for my team. Along with this, I am a great encourager and leader. This can be seen through my position as a floor captain. My mentality isn't just about competitiveness, but also having fun playing a sport I love.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a part of National Honor Society. This is a group of individuals that have earned above a 3.6 GPA and have maintained that through their years in high school. Furthermore, I am a part of a singing group at my church where I sing, play the piano, and play the synthesizer. Also, I am involved in a few school related clubs/organizations such as student council and chapel committee.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Some qualities that I have developed are leadership and teamwork. While being a floor captain I had to work on being an example for my team along with helping them when they were struggling. Also, when my coach wants to challenge a play, I need to be a leader and step up to defend my team. Also, I have developed teamwork. Building connections with my team helped me grow in my teamwork.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One challenge that I have struggled with in the past was mental toughness. With being the libero there is a lot of pressure for you to make every pass perfect and every serve incredible, but nobody is perfect. When making a mistake I always try to shake it off, but at times I doubt myself and abilities. I have come to find out that mistakes help you learn with in turn makes you a better player.
What type of college are you looking for?
When looking at colleges I want a college that has a great nursing program. Also, I would like something closer to home, but i am willing to go to states around my home too. Furthermore, a great community for student-athletes is important along with strong and knowledgable coaches to help me grow.
