My first exposure to her was at the Prep Dig showcase. She won a top performer award for her efforts. At 5’10 she has nice height for a setter and strong yet soft hands. She also brings a left handed swing to the right side.

She appeared on our watch list after creating a profile. After appearing at a Prep Dig showcase she jumped to 71 in the rankings. While I have not seen her set in an actual match Jeremy Strain has and he is very high on her. Probably should be ranked higher but a little improvement on her hitting and she could easily see that rise in our next ranking process.

For me Sophia stood out as the new kid on the block. Prior to the Stock up Showcase I knew nothing about her. Her 5’10 height and soft hands put her on my radar. She also brings a left handed swing that is ideal for the right side. The swing still needs work, but the potential exists.

Her hands are strong allowing her to push out of system passes to the outside. Master Volleyball Academy did not play in any of the local Chesapeake tournaments that I attended. Hereford also is a high school where I did not attend any volleyball games. Sophia turned into the perfect find.

The schedule shows that Master Academy will play in Orlando at AAUs.
