Mihalakis and her Katy United 17 Molten team had mixed results in the event, earning a win, a loss and a tie. She ran a fast-paced offense with her team, using her excellent setting hands to get accurate quick sets to the pins and using her middles very often. Mihalakis also did a good job of setting against the flow and was very good with her movement on the court, easily tracking passes off the net. The setter served aggressively and was very active on defense, getting many touches at the right back position.

Mihalakis was a new face to me and I thought she was one of the most difficult setters to play against for opposing blockers. She was not afraid to set against the flow and often forced opponents to cover a long distance to get in front of the ball, getting her hitters in good situations to put the ball down. Mihalakis also did well in out-of-system plays, using her great setting hands to remain accurate with her locations. She looked very calm on the court at all times and communicated well with her teammates.
