About Stacey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe myself as highly coachable when either in game or practice. I am very competitive, love to workout and am always pushing myself to be better each day. I am a team captain who brings energy every single day and be my teams biggest cheerleader while also taking pride in leading by example. I always come onto the court believing any team is beatable and play with heart and hustle.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality as an outside hitter is too be the best i can be at all times. I believe there is always room for improvement every single day and i can only get better. I love the sport of volleyball and everything that comes with it whether it’s the training or even just the team environment.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received awards like heart and hustle in the classroom, my teachers have always described me as the student who never gives up regardless of the workload.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed communication, responsibility, leadership and teamwork skills doing community service around my area.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced challenges because during my 15u season i got stuck in a hole i couldn’t get myself out of and it was the fact that i wasn’t confident in myself as much as i am now. I feel like with volleyball you can have the most skill but if you don’t believe in yourself, you will never perform to your full potential. So i had to train and work harder day by day until I built confidence.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that works hard for big things and accepts me as a person and player. A school where I can show my talent and have coaches that push me and help me and my team be better as we train each day.
