Watching Summer Cline from the sideline, you can see her confidence grow each match. She attacks with purpose, stays aggressive in transition, and makes good use of the whole court, not just power. I also liked how much she took on in serve receive and didn’t let that detract from her offense. Second on the team offensively for the Raiders, Cline terminated 216 total kills for a 2.4 k/s average. She also contributed in running the offense as she added 239 assists as her stat line was well-rounded through the other side of the ball with her 9.9 d/m. As an attacker, she uses her arms well in her approach pattern to get up off the floor where she can put a good beat on the ball at the point of contact. The final four matches of her freshman season are indicative of what she can offensively as she had 70 kills over that span for an average of 3.5 k/s, ahead of her season numbers.
