About Tatiana

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style in volleyball, particularly as a setter, is marked by precision, vision, and leadership.As a setter in volleyball, I focus on precision, vision, and leadership. I make quick decisions on where to pass the ball, aiming for accuracy to set up my teammates for successful attacks. Communication is key! I give feedback and encouragement while adjusting my strategy.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My approach to life is characterized by positivity and resilience. I believe in facing challenges with a determined spirit and maintaining a sunny outlook. I strive to bring enthusiasm and encouragement to everything I do, fostering a supportive and uplifting environment for those around me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've been dedicated to the Bakersfield Volleyball Club since I was eight years old, which has shaped me as an athlete. Alongside my sports involvement, I've achieved academic honors like the Principal's List, straight A's, Honors, and held leadership roles such as Director of Athletics in the Student Council. I've also received school's MVP awards in Volleyball, Basketball and Track.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball and school activities, I've developed leadership and teamwork skills. I've led as Director of Athletics and been recognized as School's Most Valuable Player. Playing with Bakersfield Volleyball Club taught me how to work well in teams. I've also been active in community service and achieved academic honors like the Principal's List and Student of the Year in Orchestra.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've faced challenges balancing schoolwork and sports while achieving honor roll status. Despite this, my involvement in volleyball and school activities has taught me leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Through dedication and hard work, I've excelled in both areas, aiming for success in everything I do.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am seeking a college that offers opportunities to play volleyball competitively while providing a strong pre-med program and a supportive learning environment. Finding a balance between athletics and academics is important to me, and I'm looking for a college that fosters both personal growth and academic success in preparation for a career in medicine.
