About Taylor

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay is fast-paced, competitive, team-spirited, and versatile. I love the feeling of a heart-pounding rally. I am also a very competitive person and want to win games and earn medals with my teammates. Adding on, being with my team is what makes volleyball so much fun. After a good rally, or even a bad one; just the idea of huddling up with my team after each point is important.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality while playing giving 100 percent, staying positive and teamwork. Communication is a big must on the court while I'm playing, to encourage and support my teammates. I am also very mentally tough and push because I understand that every point counts. My personality is shy and friendly off the court while on the court I may become more of an extrovert.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am currently in Life Science Club and the Early Early Show. I also created a shoe drive where I donated 100+ shoes to a local organization. Furthermore, I have 50+ community service hours and earn them at Martha's Table.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills. As a libero, I have learned to get out of my comfort zone, hype my teammates, be loud, and celebrate every play. Especially, with being an introvert outside of volleyball, it has helped me to be uncomfortable sometimes.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, during my earlier years of volleyball, I reflected a lot on my mistakes. Throughout my 13s and 14s club year, I would allow those mistakes to get to my head and affect my performance. Over the last couple of years, I have learned to focus on a positive mindset and used those as learning opportunities to help me grow instead of dwelling

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a suburban medium college with a great Biology field. I'm hoping to stay close to home but I don't mind traveling farther. I would like for the school to offer scholarships either for athletics or academics. A great campus would be nice, with accommodations like a library, dorm room, outdoor area etc.
