About Taylor

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

In my game play I like to emphasize having a constant positive attitude and keeping my composure when I make mistakes. I also rely on communication and hustle to better the ball and keep it in play. I love to use input from my coaches and fellow teammates to make my game better each play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I understand that volleyball is a game of mistakes, so I believe in constantly uplifting myself and my teammates during and after rallies. I also focus on positivity, encouragement, and a "never give up" attitude to help build our team culture.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of many clubs and organizations including National Honor Society, Student Council, Colorguard, E-club, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Serving a Co-Captain and Floor Captain of my team, I developed my leadership by using my voice to communicate with my teammates and coaches to develop a game plan to keep our team constantly growing. I continue to develop teamwork by encouraging others and helping everyone in our school's program see their potential. I also enjoy assisting our 4th-8th grade youth program during the spring.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last season, a majority of our players had to adjust to Varsity after playing JV the previous season. Many of us were underclassmen, so our team's lack of experience was a challenge at the beginning of the season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a strong medical program so I cannot only enjoy Volleyball but also receive the training I need for my future career.
