About Taylor

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an OH 6 rotation player for Pine City High School, Pine City, MN and am currently playing at MN Select Volleyball Club 17- Black. I was awarded All-Conference, voted team MVP, and even had a 21 kill match during my high school season. I am a strong, smart, and consistent player. My teammates can have confidence in me, knowing I will do what I can to get the job done.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I strive to be a good teammate, and a great human. I love to have fun and bring positive energy to all areas of my life. It is important to me to celebrate my teammates and enjoy my experiences with the team. Although I have won some team awards, I am proud I was voted varsity team captain as a Junior. I don't get upset easily on the court and believe we can learn from our mistakes.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been told I am a leader in the community. I feel my peers look to me for support and respectful interactions. I strive to be a good communicator, respectful and responsive listener, engage in regulated responses, respond rather than react, and lead by example.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the greatest challenges I have endured on the court is not always being "chosen" by my teammates and being deceived by a teammate whom I trusted. I learned I can be a supportive and respectful teammate even when others aren't. I learned I can gain confidence and esteem from my choices and the work that I put in. I learned to believe in myself and feel pride in my choices.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a school that presents a Faith community and will allow me to grow in my autonomy and spirituality. I am not quite certain of a major choice; however, have strong interest in either Sports Communication or Exercise Physiology/Kinesiology. I am also looking for a school that is small-medium in size and allows me to be involved in the campus and community culture.
