First and foremost, she steadily delivers the ball to her attackers so they can get off sound swings. Holtorf navigates the court around teammates to get properly positioned to set the ball. Iowa PowerPlex gets another talented setter on the board. Holtorf’s repertoire goes beyond her ability to distribute and put her attackers in good spots. She also plays relentless floor defense and was able to put that to work at the showcase. These events offer unique challenges for setters, but Holtorf was able to handle a revolving door of temporary teammates in Des Moines.
