Carter offers a very tall and strong presence in the middle, but it’s her impressive mobility that makes of her such a special player. Her feet move extremely well on the court and that allows her to move very quickly from pin to pin when blocking and also to have a great deal of efficiency on offense, as she is great at adjusting to difficult passes and finding the right spot to start her approach. Carter can also be a threat from the service line, making contact with the ball at a high point and hitting it hard with her floater.

Carter was a force in the middle for the Alamo 17 Premier team that finished third in the division. Very long and mobile, she knew how to make her presence felt at the net on both sides of the ball. The towering Carter was excellent offensively, combining quick feet and a very strong right arm and scored at a very high level all day. Her very technical blocker was also a big factor as she was able to make a lot of impact because of her ability to move quickly from pin to pin and the intelligent way in which she placed her arms on top of the net. The middle also had some good serving runs during the day.

The smooth way in which Carter moved her 6’3″ body on the court all day with Alamo 17 Premier was truly impressive and helped the team finish third in the division. Because of her light feet and quick and strong arm swing, Carter was a strong offensive weapon for her team, hitting ferociously and putting the ball down at a very high rate. Her blocking was also a big factor at the net as the middle moved well from pin to pin and used her long arms in a very efficient way, putting pressure on opponents across the net and taking up a lot of space. Alamo’s dynamic middle was also strong from the service line, often getting opponents out of system.

Carter is a key player on the strong Alamo 17 Premier team that will be among the contenders in the 17-18 Girls division. She leaves nothing to be desired in terms of length, athleticism and understanding of the game but it’s actually her mobility that makes her stand out among the players in her position. Not many middles of Carter’s size can move as smoothly on the court as she does and that impacts both her blocking and her offensive game as she can quickly get to the pin to make stops or beat opponents on offense with her quick feet.
