ICYMI, I dropped the KC Metro Preseason Power 8, with Lee’s Summit West sitting at the top. One of the key returners is Massengill, and she wasted no time showing why. She opened the season averaging an impressive 4.7 kills per set in a three-set sweep.

While I’m focusing primarily on stats from opening night, it’s also worth noting that Massengill continued to play a major role in the Titans’ win yesterday over Blue Valley West. A strong start for one of the key pieces on the KC Metro’s No. 1 team.

Tori has come a long way since her freshman debut, and her growth as a player has been remarkable. Standing at 6’0″, she has the ideal height for competing at the next level. As a six-rotation hitter, Tori brings versatility that allows her to fit seamlessly into any system. Currently, she needs just 299 kills to reach the milestone of 1,000, which is within her grasp this season. Her determination and skill make her one of the standout pins in the state, and fans can expect her to deliver an impressive performance.

It feels like I’ve been writing about Massengill forever, but the longtime Titan is finally a senior. After making an impact for West over the past several seasons, she’ll once again be counted on in a big way. Expect her to continue serving as one of the team’s primary attackers while also playing a key role defensively.
