About Ursula

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a dynamic and athletic player. I have a high court IQ and love to run all of my hitters while also attacking myself when the opportunity is right. Given my size, I’m often used as a hitter (both RS and Outside) as well.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m incredibly tough and resilient. I take criticism well and I’m very interested in in receiving feedback from my coaches about how I can improve on the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve been an active volunteer in my community since elementary school. When helping others you end up learning and growing yourself and it gives you an opportunity to be a leader and work with people you might not have met otherwise. My favorite activity is working with Special Olympics Florida to help athletes with special needs achieve their goals, just as I’m working hard to achieve mine.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Moving away from my family and friends to pursue my volleyball dream has been challenging, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I’ve grown so much and made a lot of new friends and contacts all while improving my volleyball skills.
