In her sophomore season, Romes has doubled her impact as she has terminated over 200 kills while averaging 2.8 k/s in 2026. Defensively, she has increased her net play to 3.2 b/m. She has been a bright spot all season building on her first postseason action in 2025 in which Kalida bowed out in the regional semifinal round to the eventual DVII state champion. Romes has big potential to grow her impact even more, which starts with their next playoff opportunity this season following her team high 17kills as Kalida defeated New Knoxville through a tough 3-2 result as one of the toughest first round matches. The #2 seed advanced in the Northwest 5 bracket and will next face #3 Ottoville.
