About Violet

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I believe my gameplay style is a mix of determination and athleticism/learned skill that improves on the daily.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I think my coaches have always seen my open-mindedness and listening skills as my best qualities, as it helps me be a coachable and adaptable player. I hope that my teammates see the parts of my personality that bring the stubborness and unwillingness to give up or give in and know that I will always give 110% when I am on the court with them.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

For the last three years I have been a part of club volleyball at LAVA North. At my sixth grade promotion I received the Rosedell Elementary School Award for "Showing 110% Effort". I played in our local city volleyball league from age 8 to 12 and I was a Girl Scout for five years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

When my sister started playing volleyball and she let me play with her and her friends I really liked that it was a community of people. There were different ages and abilities of players but there was something that could benefit or assist someone else in the group. I feel like when I work around younger players I always want to encourage and give knowledge the way I felt was done for me.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am just entering high school so I am not firm as to what I would like my major to be, therefore I don't have any defintite colleges in mind. But in the last year or so I have loved watching Nebraska support Laney Choboy and Lexi Rodriguez in their volleyball careers as well as their education. Their fans and fellow temmates seem like a great environment to be a part of.
