About Yanelis

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is very open and understanding. I use my past experiences as an advantage to understand others and better their selves. My mentality is that everything will be okay, everything will work its way out. If it's destined to be, it will happen. So I continue to push myself past my standard, for my comfort.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No, but starting my junior i would like to be involved in NHS (National Honors Society) and SGA! To form more of a voice for myself and others! To make a difference.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

By helping younger girls learn volleyball, i've learned patience and communication skills. i've learned to view things differently, for more understandable steps for younger girls. This has developed my teaching style to understand different learning paces for everyone.
