About Yasmin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Volleyball has really shaped my life and brought a lot of good things, including many lifelong friends, teaching me invaluable lessons in teamwork, resilience, and leadership. But I do more than just volleyball. I have enjoyed to run track for the last 2 years. My events are 100 hurdles,400 hurdles, and Javelin.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I work on mental health a lot and I think it's an important part of being an athlete. My personality is fun but shy at times.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a co-founder of a non- profit organization called Gear4All Foundation. Our mission is to provide sports equipment for children in need.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed teamwork skills from volleyball. Being a great teammate is what makes someone a great player rather than just being a good player.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, 15s year I didn't play as much as I would have liked to and I persevered and cheered my teammates on from the sidelines and showed up in practice and tried to get better every time. My hardwork payed off and the following year I was one of the starters.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a high- academic and supportive college

Yasmin Tonon Yasmin Tonon Yasmin Tonon 5'11" | OH/RS North Broward Prep | 2026 State FL was a presence that couldn’t be ignored. She read setters quickly and set solid blocks with force, often deflecting attacks and  setting up easy coverage transitions. Offensively, Yasmin was dynamic—available for swings in both the front and back row, with strong timing and a fast arm. Her topspin serve was a weapon of its own, dropping quickly and drawing multiple reception errors over the weekend.
