There weren’t many setters in the gym on the day, but Rivera stood out immediately as one on point with her set location. She was one I saw have good placement on her slides and successful timing with her middles on quick back sets. Besides that, she looked comfortable sending the ball across the court to her pins, who were able to score points off her sets. She will be a player more likely to be utilized in a two-setter system in the future due to her size.

We’ll now venture into North Kansas City, where Rivera carries the banner for Metro Performance Volleyball Club. She is a new addition to our Missouri 2027 radar and was an all-around competitor at the Stock Up Showcase. That applies to positional reps, first-contact drills, and six-on-six competition. Rivera was a constant source of positive energy on her side of the net. Her setting skills backed that up, too.
