About Zarah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play aggressively and with lots of energy, always trying to be a positive and supportive teammate.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe I am a strong willed person and I am able to effectively work with others around me. I am a high achiever and hard worker in everything I do.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in the National Junior Honor Society at my school and I have received multiple awards for my academics including first place in math olympics. I play beach as well as indoor volleyball year round.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned many new skills through volleyball. I have grown in leadership by knowing I have to lead by example and bring a positive attitude as captain on my team. I have learned to work well with everyone and work as hard as I can because I cannot be successful without my team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have been very shy since I was little but I have worked very hard to become more outgoing and talkative. I worked through tears and put tons of effort into it, but I can now say that I have grown in more than just physical skills through volleyball and i am one of the loudest people on the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that demonstrates great academics as well as volleyball programs to offer. I want college to feel like a community to me, but I am not afraid of change so I welcome a college, even if it is far from home.

In the back row she reads well, anticipates, and contributes defensively, making her a well-rounded presence on the court.
