About Zaydah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as aggressive, disciplined, persistent, and competitive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very passionate, committed, and tenacious. I also have high energy, and i'm resilient!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm apart of a Surf Club that includes beach cleanups! I've been on Honor Roll for school as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing volleyball has helped me develop leadership and accountability. I learned how to lead by example, motivate teammates and take responsibility for successes and mistakes. I've also learned time management, with volleyball and academics. Being part of a team has helped me communicate effectively, and how to work towards a common goal.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biggest and significant challenge has been being diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes. It was difficult at first to manage my sugar on and off the court, and getting used to taking insulin everyday and night. Balancing my health while being an athlete has taught me adaptability, responsibility, and how to stay focused under pressure.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with positive team culture, a strong athletic program, and with a big campus size. I look forward to a school that will give me the chance to grow and compete.
