<p>There were plenty of anxious moments for top seeds in the seven Class A districts last night but ultimately they all prevailed to advance to the state tournament. </p> <p>Omaha Marian (A-1), Lincoln Southwest (A-2), Papillion-LaVista (A-3), Millard West (A-4), Papillion-LaVista South (A-5), Lincoln Pius X (A-6) and Millard North (A-7) all won their respective districts which allowed Lincoln Southeast to claim the lone wild card.</p> <p>Below is a recap of the seven district championships followed by the projected state tournament bracket for the first round and all the district scores from last night.</p> <p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff">A-1: Omaha Marian def. Omaha Westside 25-19, 25-20, 25-14</span></strong></p> <p><strong>Emily Bressman</strong> had 13 kills, 12 digs and four blocks to lead the top-ranked Crusaders past Westside. <strong>Sarah Wing</strong> had nine kills and <strong>Hailey Zuroske</strong> had eight for Marian while <strong>Maggie Mullen</strong> and <strong>Ashley Straub</strong> each had 15 digs. <strong>Lily Heim</strong> finished the match with 40 assists, 14 digs and two kills.</p> <p><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>A-2: Lincoln Southwest def. Lincoln East 25-18, 25-12, 22-25, 25-15</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Jaden Ferguson</strong> had 18 kills and <strong>Hannah Kelle</strong> added 13 as the Silver Hawks knocked off cross-town rival Lincoln East for the district title. <strong>Katie Siefkes</strong> had a team-high 21 digs and <strong>Rachel Walker</strong> had 41 assists and 12 digs. </p> <p>For Lincoln East, <strong>Ana Thacker</strong> had 10 kills and <strong>Brooke Peltz</strong> added eight. <strong>Brooke McCartney</strong> had 14 digs and <strong>Erin Morgan</strong> had 13 while<strong> Alex Lemke</strong> had 33 assists, four kills and three aces.</p> <p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff">A-3: Papillion-LaVista def. Bellevue West 25-14, 25-17, 25-10</span></strong></p> <p><strong>Norah Sis</strong> had 16 kills while <strong>Chloe Paschal</strong> had 13 and <strong>Sydney Fitzgibbons</strong> had 12 for the Monarchs in their win over Bellevue West. <strong>Carly Lindenmeyer</strong> had 14 digs for Papillion-LaVista and <strong>Brooklyn Schram</strong> had 49 assists.</p> <p>For Bellevue West, <strong>Morgan James</strong> had eight kills and <strong>Makena Sobcyz</strong> had six while <strong>Maggie Tardy</strong> had 12 digs and <strong>Parker Lauterbach</strong> had 17 assists.</p> <p><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>A-4: Millard West def. Grand Island 25-18, 25-10, 25-12</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Bailey Wilson</strong> led a balanced Millard West attack with nine kills while <strong>Elise Gilroy</strong> and <strong>Hailey Petersen</strong> each added eight and <strong>Ashley Bush</strong> had seven. <strong>Jaiden Centeno</strong> had 23 digs for the Wildcats and <strong>Sydney Daniels</strong> had 19 assists while <strong>Bree Green</strong> added 14.</p> <p><strong>Alexa Blasé</strong> led Grand Island with seven kills and she also added 10 digs. <strong>Jaci Hunter</strong> led the Islanders in digs with 19 and <strong>Katie Ellis</strong> had 15 assists.</p> <p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff">A-5: Papillion-LaVista South def. Millard South 25-14, 25-22, 25-14</span></strong></p> <p>Papillion-LaVista South got big nights from<strong> Taliyah Flores</strong> (17 kills, 10 digs) and <strong>Moe Bianchi</strong> (12 kills, two blocks) en route to the district championship. <strong>Peyton Schendt</strong> had eight kills and team-best 14 digs for the Titans while <strong>Payton Moore</strong> had 27 assists and<strong> Mara LeGrand</strong> added 12.</p> <p><strong>Lauren Walenz</strong> had 10 kills, 13 digs and three aces to lead Millard South while <strong>Maggie Madej</strong> had nine kills and <strong>Claire Larson</strong> added seven. <strong>Sam Steele</strong> had 14 digs for the Patriots and <strong>Jaisee Stinson</strong> added 25 assists.</p> <p><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>A-6: Lincoln Pius X def. Kearney 22-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-21</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Anna McLain</strong> had 21 kills as the Thunderbolts survived an upset scare from Kearney while <strong>Delaney Humm</strong> had 17 kills and <strong>Lauren Taubenheim</strong> had 14. Hmm had 26 digs for Pius X and <strong>Lindsey Nottleman</strong> had 22 while <strong>Grace Gokie</strong> had 59 assists.</p> <p>For Kearney, <strong>Claire Vanderbeek</strong> had 16 kills for the Bearcats while <strong>Bailee Sterling</strong> had 13 and <strong>Addie Palser</strong> had 11. <strong>Adison Wood</strong> led the team with 20 digs and <strong>Alexis Mishou</strong> had 44 assists.</p> <p><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>A-7: Millard North def. Lincoln Southeast 27-29, 25-13, 25-19, 25-20</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Eve Fountain</strong> had 18 kills and 15 digs to lead Millard North to the district title while <strong>Emmy Grant</strong> had 12 kills and <strong>Allie Kerns</strong> added 10. <strong>Madison Evans</strong> had 24 digs and <strong>Izzy Luken</strong>s finished with 53 assists.</p> <p><strong>Melanie Brecka</strong> led Southeast with 15 kills while <strong>Brittany Wulf</strong> and <strong>Cecily Liphardt</strong> each had 10. <strong>Madison Renn</strong> had 29 digs to lead the Knights and <strong>Cassidy Plooster</strong> had 33 assists.</p> <p><a href="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Screen-Shot-2017-11-01-at-9.20.56-PM.png"></a></p> <div class="subscriber-only"> <h3><span class="print_trim">A-1 at Omaha Marian</span></h3> </div> <div class="subscriber-only"> <p><span class="print_trim">Omaha Marian def.
