SubscribeJordan Armstrong – S – Verona – Capital Adidas 16
Armstrong was suppose to split duties with Ella Foti for Capital Adidas 16, but has taken the reigns running a 5-1 on her own after the injury to Foti. Armstrong has plenty of options to go to with two solid pins on the outside and solid middles. Armstrong being 5’11 is also an offensive and defensive force too that provides another weapon for Capital heading into this weekend.
Emily Banitt – OH – River Falls – Kokoro 16-1
Banitt is under six foot, but extremely dynamic. She was one of the main keys to the River Falls undefeated regular season and state runner up finish. With over 300 kills and high level club experience Banitt will be a solid recruit. Being on the Minnesota/Wisconsin border will make her a great catch for the extremely popular Northern Sun Conference which has some of the top Division 2 volleyball programs in the nation, or will Banitt leave the area and go higher? A lot of potential here.
Amber Bischel – L – Germantown – Wisconsin Juniors 16-1
One of the best liberos in Wisconsin in the Class of 2020, Bischel is extremely solid at serve receive and makes every routine play. Wisconsin Juniors 16-1 will be looking to take their game to the next level and build momentum with tournaments in Louisville and MEQ in Indy this upcoming month. Bischel is extremely solid and is at the start of all the offense for Wisconsin Juniors.
Mira Chopra – MB – Illini Elite 16 Cardinal
A Class of 2021 middle blocker that is strong and extremely physical. Her middle counterpart Allie Trame is already committed to Alabama, and Chopra is absolutely at that level. Her Illini Elite team dropped a tough match to MN Select at the JVA Jamboree and this weekend will be entertaining to see another potential matchup with MN Select as well as Kokoro out of Minnesota.
Maddy Dokken – OH – Stevens Point – Wisconsin Ice 16 Purple
A dynamic spark for Wisconsin Ice 16 Purple, Dokken is a solid point scorer for Ice and will be one that will be looked to at SPASH this Fall. The combination of her and teammate, Jacqueline Smith always puts a threat in the front row for Ice.
Kaleigh Fitzgerald – OH/L – Kettle Moraine – Milwaukee Sting 16 White
Fitzgerald has the body language and energy that can “will” her team to a win. She is a competitor and extremely gritty whether she is at her natural position of libero or playing on the pin. A smart player and for sure leader on her team, she will be looking to continue the Sting White success they had at the Sports Performance Presidents Day Tournament and the Big City Luau, losing to Kokoro in the finals.
Faith Johnson – OH – SPVB C-Fed
Extremely strong and physical, this 5’11 pin for Sports Performance is a force in the front row. The Sports Performance teams will be bringing some of the top teams and players in the nation. The Class of 2020 is loaded with athletes scattered across all levels and teams.
Karina Leber – MB – Wilmot Union – Wisconsin Juniors 16-1
Leber is having a breakout club season, as a 6’3 middle touching over 10 feet, she is a force on offense and defense. Whether it is a quick tempo set in front of the setter or a an approach off one foot Leber can terminate with power or finesse. This weekend will be a great test for Leber going up against other top middles in the region.
Karlee Lois- S – Wilmot Union – Wisconsin Juniors 16-1
Lois is 5’8, but a fighter in the front row. Oh yea, she’s a setter too that is left handed and great feet getting to the ball early to put her team in the best spot to score. She has established a strong middle connection with Karina Leber and has also found success scoring on her own on second contact. This Wisconsin Juniors team will be competing for a championship and has seen some of the top teams in the Midwest at GLPL and at the St. Louis Presidents Day Tournament.
Kalli Mau – S – Kimberly – Wisconsin Volleyball Academy 16 Black
Mau has been picking up a ton of momentum on the club circuit this season after being the setter for Kimberly’s state team this past fall. Developing an offensive game and establishing a presence at the net offensively and defensively has been a point of emphasis for Mau this winter. Mau’s athleticism and quickness is the bread and butter to her game where she can set the middle extremely well.
Halle Olson – OH – River Falls – Kokoro 16-1
Olson is another pin for this Kokoro team that will be looking to make a run at the championship this weekend. This will be an exciting matchup for Kokoro to play some of the top teams out of the Great Lakes Power League. Olson was also a member of the River Falls team that had a record setting season in 2017.
Courtney Pearson – OH – Kimberly – Wisconsin Volleyball Academy 16 Black
Pearson is a leading point scorer from the outside with an extremely high touch and a variety of shots down the line and sharp cross. However, the schedule for Pearson may be a little different this weekend with her high school basketball team advancing to the Sectional Final that will be played on Saturday. Kimberly will play Appleton North in basketball, with the winner heading to the State Tournament in Green Bay.
Megan Piton – L – Appleton North – Wisconsin Volleyball Academy 16 Black
Piton has been well trained and disciplined playing for Appleton North and WVA which has a long line of solid libero and defensive specialists. Piton is solid making all the routine plays and is a great communicator on the court. Piton is a consistent and dependable player which it also doesn’t hurt that she is a 4.0 student.
Isabelle Shauer – S – Watertown – Milwaukee Sting 16 White
Smooth. Schauer makes setting look easy the way she is able to get to the ball and such a smooth release the ball is in the right spot for her teammates to terminate. Sting 16 White has had their ups and downs this season having beaten Wisconsin Juniors early in the season, they have the potential to play with most teams here when they are on their game. Schauer is one of main keys to their success putting everyone in the right position.
Jacqueline Smith – OH – Northland Pines – Wisconsin Ice 16 Purple
Smith is a six rotation outside that has the skill set to do almost anything. She could probably step in and set if needed. Smith’s greatest asset is her all around game and speed. With a fast arm swing and approach she is able to score points in a hurry.
