Originally, this was an AAU event starting in 1976. In 1995 this event switched affiliation from AAU to USA Volleyball. This is the 43rd year of this event, and the Badger Region has 13 teams participating. We will do a daily recap of some of our teams’ top performances!
V-Hawk Xtreme 14-Adidas
14-Adidas came in as a top seed in their pool and they played to their seed accordingly.
Won vs Diamond Elite 14 Jade Rox (26-24, 25-21)
Won vs IL HPSTL 14 Beth (25-21, 25-13)
Won vs Sky High 14 Age (25-17, 25-12)
Saturday morning 14-Adidas will start Round 2 in Pool 6 where their finish will determine whether they go into the Gold or Silver brackets. They will face a couple teams from the Lakeshore Region as well as the V-Hawk Xtreme 14-Silver team.
RVA G15 Pink
Pink came in as the top seed in their pool Friday and made their presence known with some pretty decisive wins.
Won vs City Lions 15-2 (25-15, 25-20)
Won vs Ultimate G15 Green (25-23, 25-10)
Won vs Cyclones 15 Green-Adidas (25-16, 25-14)
Saturday morning Pink will start Round 2 in a 3-team pool, and then depending on how they place, Pink will play another match to see where they will start on Sunday – in either the Gold or Silver brackets.
Madison Elite 17 Teal
Teal came in as the top seed in their pool Friday afternoon and had to fight a little harder to get 1st in their pool.
Won vs Crush 17-Black (25-11, 25-9)
Won vs St Louis Powerhitters 17 (25-18, 25-14)
Won vs Skyline 17 National (19-25, 25-17, 17-15)
Saturday afternoon Teal will start Round 2, and their finish will determine where they will be placed in the Gold bracket.
