WI Juniors 14-Elite – 14 Club – 1st place out of 20 teams
14-Elite started Saturday afternoon with a dominant win over Beverly 14s (25-12, 25-13). They went on to win their pool with wins over Sky High-Adidas 14 Gold (25-16, 25-11) and Chicago Elite 14-2 (25-15, 25-20). Sunday afternoon 14-Elite sealed the deal in the Gold bracket beating D1 Elite G14 Black (20-25, 25-16, 16-14) and Fusion 14 Red (14-25, 25-14, 15-1).
Head Coach Eric Brandenburg said his team did not have the best first set in the Championship match, but they “never gave up, never gave in, and gave no quarter to the opposing team”. This group also won the 2018 juniors Grand Slam in May. The key to their success this season has been their unrelenting hard work, and everyone has been “all in” every day in the gym. Their time and hard work this season showed in this great win for them.
Keep your eye out for these players in the 2022 class, looking to make their mark in the fall.
