Erin Shoemaker – 6’0 OH | Minnetonka | 2019
Shoemaker, a 2017 Lake Conference all-conference honorable mention selection, had an impressive night tallying 19 kills and 15 digs to earn the double-double in the Skippers’ 3-1 win over Edina. Shoemaker is a big factor in the recent surge of Minnetonka volleyball. At 9-1 on the season with key wins over Shakopee and Eden Prairie under their belts, the Skippers are looking to improve upon their 19 wins and section semifinal appearance in 2017.
Carly Wedel – 6’1 S | Willmar | 2019
The South Dakota State commit and 2017 Central Lakes all-conference selection provided a well-rounded effort in the Cardinals’ 3-1 victory over St. Cloud Tech. Wedel’s stat line showcased her versatility and included 30 assists, 10 kills, 8 digs, and 5 blocks. Willmar is 4-1 on the season with their lone loss a 3-0 defeat to Marshall in the season opener.
Ellie Danielson – 5’10 MH | Minnewaska | 2020
Danielson keyed the Lakers’ first win of the season as Minnewaska prevailed over Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City in five sets, including a 16-14 win in the decisive frame. Danielson produced 28 kills, 14 digs and 7 blocks in the win for an average of 5.6 kills/set. Danielson is a 2017 West Central all-conference selection, one of only two sophomores to earn that distinction last season. The Lakers are 1-3 this season.
Katie Krieger – Libero | Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sundburg | 2019
KMS defeated Lakeview 3-2 on Thursday evening, including a 15-13 set-five win. Krieger, a 2017 Camden Conference all-conference selection piled up 26 digs to go along with 4 kills, 3 assists and 2 aces. Here experience and leadership are a valuable asset to the KMS effort as they current at 3-2 on the season, 2-2 in conference play.
Makenna Steffel – 6’0 OH | BOLD | 2019
Steffel displayed dominance on Thursday night seemingly scoring at will and, most importantly, when her team needed her most. BOLD defeated Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta in a five-set epic contest as Steffel amassed 29 kills and 24 digs in the win, which included a four-kill stretch in the fifth set to seal the victory in a key West Central Conference match. Steffel, having missed much of the 2017 season due to injury, has asserted herself as a reliable weapon in BOLD’s varied attack. She is committed to play her college volleyball at Northern State University.
