Some have worked their way into starting lineups and are proving they belong at the varsity level, while others are playing important roles in helping their teams get off to hot starts. From putting up impressive numbers to making an impact in big moments, these young players are wasting little time making their presence felt. At 6'0", the young middle already has an impressive 22 blocks through just seven matches, showing her ability to make an immediate impact at the net. She is also getting it done offensively, racking up 32 kills and giving her team another reliable option in the middle. She is quick, has an explosive approach, and brings a wicked swing that allows her to terminate. She is also a strong presence at the net defensively, putting up a solid block and making attackers work around her. Freshman libero Kellogg has played a big role in that early success. She is averaging an impressive 4.1 digs per set and has already recorded 83 receptions, providing a steady presence in the back row. She currently sits second on the team in total kills and is averaging 1.5 kills per set. What stands out about Bresette is her versatility as an attacker. She can attack from anywhere across the front row and does a nice job varying her shot location rather than becoming predictable. Playing in all 26 sets of Cretin-Derham Hall's varsity season, she has already racked up 95 receptions, averaging 10.6 per match, along with 21 assists and 60 digs for an impressive 6.7 digs per match. The young libero moves well, covers a lot of court, and has quickly established herself as a reliable piece of the back row.
