Leading the way defensively for Newark was Meggie Scott, who had 11 digs in her last match as a Lady Norsemen.
Megan Williams, 2022, 6’0, OH, Newark
Megan Williams placed a solid block for Newark, as she accumulated 4 block assists in the match. She also contributed 4 kills in the win.
Mattie Chapman, 2020, 6’1, MH, Newark
Attacking at a .235 mark, Mattie added 6 kills, 1 block, and 1 block assist.
School: Athens, 296 enrolled. 195 miles from Chicago, slightly north of Springfield.

With a match-high 23 digs, Becky was the solid defensive force needed to help Athens to the three-set victory in the state’s Third place match.

Scoring a team-high 10 kills, Hanna added six digs and one ace to her totals.

Peyton Pollman had 15 assists and 9 digs in the Illini Bluff loss.

Rachel Jackman, 2020, Altamont
The quintessential small school athlete; playing volleyball, basketball and in track and field had nine kills in their sectional championship against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in three sets.

Possibly the best player on the court that day! Tabytha is committed to hit the ball as hard as she can. She also can place it on the court and tip well. She is also an all-conference player in Basketball.
