<p>The Class of 2023 features numerous promising volleyball players. Here are six potential Louisville breakout sophomores. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106690" first="Meredith" last="Brown"]:</strong> A 6-4 freshman middle blocker, Brown is a student-athlete from Mercy Academy. With her height and various skills, Brown is a force at the net. The productive Brown, who is headed into her sophomore season, excels at the net and stops opponents’ attacks regularly. Brown is competing for Union Asics 16-1.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106665" first="Nya" last="Bunton"]:</strong> A 6-4 middle hitter, Bunton is a student-athlete from DuPont Manual High School. Among the most underrated young high school volleyball players in Kentucky, Bunton is athletic and uses her length at the net. Bunton is competing for KIVA 15 Red. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106664" first="Gabrielle" last="Gerry"]:</strong> A 6-5 freshman middle hitter, Gerry is a student-athlete from Assumption High School. One of the tallest high school volleyball players in Kentucky, Gerry uses her size in the middle. With solid hands, Gerry is an excellent blocker who can dig for quick attacks. Gerry is competing for KIVA 15 Red. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="187951" first="Savanah" last="Jolly"]:</strong> A 5-7 freshman setter/defensive specialist, Jolly is a student-athlete from Male High School. A player who has shown improvement throughout the 2019-20 schoolyear, Jolly contributes offensively and defensively. The versatile Jolly is athletic and delivers precise passes. Jolly is competing for Union Asics 16-2. </p>
<p><strong>Molly Kate Walker:</strong> A 5-11 freshman middle hitter/opposite hitter, Walker is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy. With the ability to play in the middle or hit from the right side, Walker is a versatile player who has developed into an efficient passer. Walker is competing for KIVA 15 White. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106669" first="Whitney" last="Woodrow"]:</strong> A six foot freshman setter, Woodrow is a student-athlete from Assumption High School. Agile and a quick decision maker, Woodrow has shown the ability to record digs consistently as one of the state’s top young volleyball setters. Woodrow is competing for KIVA 15 Red. </p>
