<p>Underrated players in the Class of 2022 will be looking to vie for varsity playing time throughout the 7th Region during the upcoming season. </p>
<p>Here are five underrated 7th Region sophomores-to-be.</p>
<p><strong>Lauren Bohn:</strong> A 5-9 freshman outside hitter, Bohn is a student-athlete from Male High School. Earlier in the year, Bohn competed for Union Asics 15-2 in the 2020 club volleyball season. Bohn will be looking to vie for varsity playing time for her high school team later in the year. Comfortable and productive playing in both the front and back row, Bohn is an accurate passer and a proven blocker. </p>
<p><strong>Maddie Hagan:</strong> A six-foot freshman middle hitter, Hagan is a student-athlete from Assumption High School. Later in the year, Hagan will look to make a breakthrough for the reigning high school state champion. Hagan has competed for KIVA 15 White during the 2020 club volleyball season. Emerging as a force in the middle, Hagan excels reading opposing hitters to set up blocks. Hagan works well in tandem and has displayed athleticism in her young prep volleyball career. </p>
<p><strong>Alayna Johnson:</strong> A 5-10 middle hitter/opposite, Johnson is a student-athlete from Ballard High School. Continuing to grow as a player, Johnson competed for KIVA 15 Black during the 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year. Johnson thrives at the net, using quick attacks on offense and blocking opposing players' shots frequently. The Ballard High School sophomore-to-be uses both hands well. </p>
<p><strong>Addison Putt:</strong> A 5-11 freshman opposite, Putt is a student-athlete from Assumption High School. Putt competed for KIVA 15 Black in the 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year. An athletic opposite, Putt hits well from the right side and works efficiently with middles on blocks. In addition, Putt has shown that she can act as a backup setter on offense regularly. </p>
<p><strong>Natalie Thieman:</strong> A 5-9 freshman outside hitter/defensive specialist, Thieman is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy. Able to contribute offensively and defensively, Thieman is poised to push for varsity time for Sacred Heart Academy in the 2020 high school volleyball season. Earlier in the year, during the latest club volleyball season, Thieman competed for Union Asics 16-2. Versatile, Thieman is a go-to hitter, excels as a passer and has shown the ability to read opposing defenses. </p>
