Early Look at the Class of 2022

<p>Predicting the future is tough, but really enjoyable. The Class of 2022 is going to be a good one, but how much they are going to be able to play over the course of the next two seasons will be a major question.</p> <p>With the COVID virus, this class could be hit hard with canceled games, which will impact the recruiting process.</p> <p>Here are the top five student-athletes in the Class of 2022 initial rankings. Players will be added to the rankings list in intervals of 50. The Kansas Prep Dig staff hopes to see plenty of games this fall to add more players to this group of players.</p> <p><strong>OH, [player_tooltip player_id="105631" first="Ava" last="Martin"] 6’0”, St. Thomas Aquinas (Ranked No. 1)</strong> – Martin can leap and a player who could jump out of the gym. She is a smart player, a big hitter, and can only get better on a talented St. Thomas Aquinas squad.</p> <p><strong>MB, [player_tooltip player_id="105632" first="Lauren" last="Schutter"], 6’2”, Wabaunsee (Ranked No. 2)</strong>– Schutter is a three-sport star and has a 4.0 GPA. Needless to stay, she could take several different paths. College recruiters should start looking at her early if they haven’t already. Schutter is the tallest athlete in the Top Five and has a huge upside.</p> <p><strong>OH, [player_tooltip player_id="105633" first="Jasmine" last="Dulan"], 5’7”, Blue Valley North (Ranked No. 3) –</strong> Dulan is an intense athlete. She is a heavy hitter and played club ball with Adidas Dynasty 16 Black team. Plays against quality competition in high school and will be ready to compete for a big-time program in 2022-2023.</p> <p><strong>MH, [player_tooltip player_id="105634" first="Aubrey" last="Duncan"], 6’0”, Free State (Ranked No. 4)</strong> – Duncan has a compact swing and a great follow through. She knows how to finish a rally with big-time kills. She is also a good blocker and should be able to play in the middle of the court at the next level.</p> <p><strong>MH, [player_tooltip player_id="105635" first="Erika" last="Hanke"], 6’0”, Olathe East (Ranked No. 5)</strong> – Hanke is the rawest player in at the top of the rankings. She enjoys playing volleyball and that enthusiasm shines on the court. She is a solid student in the classroom and one who should improve this season.</p>
