#4: Sky Moffitt Sky Moffitt 6'2" | MB Lafayette Jefferson | 2022 State IN , 6-2, Lafayette Jefferson
I’m not sure her parents knew she would when they named her, but she does “sky”. Her length takes up more space than she gets credit for on defense, and she hits a heavy ball. This is a no-doubt recruit that can make a difference at the next level.
#6: Abigail Kesler Abigail Kesler 5'11" | MB Muncie Burris | 2022 State #196 Nation IN , 5-11, Muncie Burris
Abigail is a new addition to the rankings this time around, and it’s not her fault, it is mine. She’s clearly the best offensive option returning for the Owls, everyone knows it, and she still manages to put away any set you throw at her. Her deceptive length also allows her to cover from pin to pin defensively. Let’s see if Miss Kesler gets a little help around her come sectional time.
#11: Aniya Kennedy Aniya Kennedy 6'0" | MB La Porte | 2022 State IN , 6-0, La Porte
Another new addition to our modified rankings, Aniya can out-athletic anything in front of her. Type in “ Aniya Kennedy Aniya Kennedy 6'0" | MB La Porte | 2022 State IN volleyball” to your favorite search engine, and find the first image listed. She is, quite literally, head and shoulders above her competition. She hits hard, blocks everyone, and is a full-go type of player. A little raw, but I’ll take raw athleticism over a refined middle when the raw kid out jumps everyone.
#18: Brooke Elliott Brooke Elliott 6'1" | MB Hamilton Southeastern | 2022 State IN , 6-1, Hamilton Southeastern
This is one of THREE middles on this state runner-up squad that are top twenty. One is Delaney Garner Delaney Garner 6'1" | MB Hamilton Southeastern | 2021 State IN , who has already committed to NCAA Division II Harding. Brooke, a Munciana kid, could probably play all three positions in the front row, but her primary is middle, and is just as adept at terminating in front of the setter as behind.
#20: Lovie Wallace, 6-0, Hamilton Southeastern
Lovie was the “other” middle at 2A state champ Heritage Christian, but her recent transfer to HSE makes the Royals’ practice gym that much more competitive for the 4A state runner-up. Her physicality and breadth on both offense and defense make her a no-doubt recruit at the next level. Also trained at Munciana, she’s not as versatile as Brooke listed above, but is just as terminal.
