We conclude our class of 2021 rankings update by highlighting our favorite pin attackers from the Hoosier State. Although the five listed below is only a small portion of what’s available on the pins in this class, it’s important to note that all five of these kids play at high-level clubs and are from large high schools, unlike some of the other kids on the lists we mentioned earlier this week. Also, this is the only list where all five players fit into the top 50 on our rankings list. Enjoy!

#20: [player_tooltip player_id="102468" first="Lourdes" last="Torres"], 5-9, OH, Munster

This Michio Chicago-trained six-rotation outside is a spitfire of a player that, if taller, would have received and accepted an offer by now. That is an unfair assessment by many coaches, as Lourdes is more than capable of being a plug-and-play O2 at the mid-Division I level. I like that she is fully skilled at all parts of the game, not just attack or serve receive.

#21: [player_tooltip player_id="85684" first="Sarah" last="Casper"], 5-11, OH, Cathedral

Another six-rotation kid, Sarah received exceptional training in multiple positions from Corky Robertson, Academy’s 17-1 coach this past spring. For a player her size, she’s fast-footed, transitions well and plays great defense.

#28: [player_tooltip player_id="85692" first="Ashleigh" last="White"], 5-11, OH/RS, Lawrence North

I listed Ashleigh as both pins, and no, it’s not cheating. Miss White is a converted middle that has the length to block everyone from both pins and can go over everyone else on the attack. As of the writing of this post, Ashleigh projects to be a three-rotation pin player, but could definitely play any front-row position at the next level.

#30: [player_tooltip player_id="85694" first="Mikayla" last="Christiansen"], 6-0, RS, Fishers

Our first Munciana kid on this list, Mikayla has also played, at one point in her career, all three front row positions. Currently, though, she’s viewed as anything from a three-rotation attacker to a six-rotation, non-SR utility at the next level, and has even received a few Division I offers. It’s only a matter of time before she commits, but she is still available.

#41: [player_tooltip player_id="85702" first="Natalie" last="Miles"], 5-9, OH, Jay County

The other Munciana kid on this list is a six-rotation, primary passing OH that plays bigger than her 5-9 frame suggests. Fiery and terminal, Natalie can take over a match at a moment’s notice. I think she gets more fired up on defense, especially blocking, than offense. Miss Miles can and will score points in multiple ways during a match, and will be the emotional leader while doing so.
